Finally got around to bolting my front suspension up together with polyurethane pressed into all 4 arms, though my lower control arm ball joints are both done for, for damn sure, but they'll have to do for now as I'm completely broke atm.

Then, my attention turned toward the front sways and endlink.  I always thought the stock endlinks were dangerously thin for my enormous daizen sways.

Also, in a ghetto ghetto experiment, I laid my LCA on the ground and raised up the ball joint end of the LCA 3 inches to simulate a 3" drop.  This moved the bracket on the LCA that the endlink bolts to up 1.5" up.  This means that the end of the sway bar, where the endlink attaches, raises up 1.5" under compression, thus throwing the angle of the sway bar off.

To fix this problem and the problem of the toothpick-ness, and because we have less aftermarket support than a buick, I've decided to make my own.

Stock Endlink - $62 per endlink
My ghetto isht - $40 per pair.

Though, I can't say that this is ideal for street cars since these spherical rod ends tend to require periodical lubrication and get dirty pretty easily.

I do have to space it out a bit to make it straighter, but I think it should work... hard to say as I won't be able to drive this pos anytime soon.

definitely a messy process, but damn it's fun.

This would be one of my front uca's, which are probably the easiest ones on the car to burn out since all that needs to be done is a bit of pyro-ness and a few hits w/ a hammer/mallet for the bushings to fall out.  front lca's have been burned out up front, buuuuut cleaning out the sleeves is proving to be a major pita, even w/ my dremel and wire brush bit.  haven't even touched the rear suspension arms yet..... *sigh*

Still need to acquire:
solid subframe bushings
stock rear diff bushing/cushion
235/40/18's for my rear rp03's.

still need to do:
finish front lca's, burn out and install bushings for the rear uca's and lca
install the isht that I stil need to acquire
shave the passenger side rear fender a bit more
get my newly acquired used yokohama avs 215/40 tires on my 350z spares
Man, i haven't done isht..

Finally finished this quarter off, probably with straight B's which is good for me.
Celebrated today after work by finally getting the ruca bolts off to free my subframe from the suspension parts.
The gray square piping is what i had to use as a breaker bar, since nothing shorter worked on the bolts.
also pried out the front subframe bushings.  i should be torching out my suspension bushings this week.

Moved the subframe into our backyard so that I have a bit more room to work with and took out the diff. 93lb thing was a major pain to carry out.
found out one of my rear diff bushings is completely cracked. damn... and i was planning on keeping those stock to avoid having too much noise in the cabin.

Teal project mu pads, silver rotors, black/gold coils, red sways. it'll get even more colorful once i put the battle version arms in. sweeet. though my caliper's going to cover up my pads :(

helped my garage go from
to
and then picked up
BVer traction arms, BNIB rear project mu brake pads, and slotted rear rotors to replace the gross drilled/slotted rotors i have all around.  never was a fan of drilled.
now, to pay off my ticket, get BVer toe rods and subframe bushings, and then try to break loose my RUCA. damn seized bolts

a girly car, carrying manly things.
brought it home to rid my garage of the clusterfuck of tools and shit that I kept tripping over and slipping on. My dad seems to be enjoying it more though. i get 4 drawers, he gets 5.  even though I paid for it... -__-"

like my y-pipe and lovely muffs.
Which I promptly washed since it had been about a year since I last washed my car(s)
Still a few scuffs but w/e.  Decided to do a little more uninstalling from the rear end.
took out the traction/toe arms.  thennn I kept at it.....
Diff was still stuck in the driveshaft
Gave it a good shake and it dropped to the floor like a 500 lb baby.

now to go source a dolly so that I can pull this shit out from under my car.  I've realized now that reinstalling this is gonna be a huge pain.

broke one of my newly acquired tools trying to break loose the 9th of the 12 10mm bolts that hold the diff and axles together.
(for anyone trying to drop the diff out, you need a 19mm socket for the front 2 bolts, a 10mm hex for the 12 diff-axle bolts, and 12mm hex for the 3 bolts in the rear. breaker bar is for fucking sure a necessity. or an impact gun for those who are less financially deprived.  the last 10mm hex bolt required me to put the tool into the bolt, let the ratchet handle touch the frame, crawl out from under the car, release the e-brake, and give one of my rear wheels a powerful turn to break it loose. I even went as far as contemplating to turn the engine on and throw it into reverse to break it loose.  thank god this less-extreme method worked out.)

plans:
change out suspension bushings
change out subframe bushings
switch out diff for a welded
shave the rear fenders a bit more (previous owner seemed to have half-assed it and left a good amount.  not enough for a legit roll though)

2 midterms and 1 paper next week, so wtf am I doing working on this shitbox.  idk.

Decided to secure my license plate semi-properly (not really).  During a quick drive to the bank in my sc, a 90's accord w/ a couple in their 40's/50's (what's the difference) pulled up next to me and the driver yelled at me informing me that my plate is falling off.  I've been missing a screw for well over a year now (reason why my plate always looks crooked) and have gotten many concerned statements from friends and even some of their parents.  so, decided to take 3 more minutes out of my studying to secure it.  grabbed a bolt, washer, winged nut, gorilla glue, duct tape, and was done.

sc's back up and running, probably better than before now that I have no exhaust leak ticking/rattling that had been going on for a few weeks before the weld finally gave up.

Also got a new HID kit from Meng Motorsports for my tC since my driverside keeps going out even after I switched the bulbs.

and it's made by Philips.  too fuckin legit.
2 midterms and a paper to go, all on tuesday, before I can get to enjoying these and my sc.
