a girly car, carrying manly things.
brought it home to rid my garage of the clusterfuck of tools and shit that I kept tripping over and slipping on. My dad seems to be enjoying it more though. i get 4 drawers, he gets 5.  even though I paid for it... -__-"

like my y-pipe and lovely muffs.
Which I promptly washed since it had been about a year since I last washed my car(s)
Still a few scuffs but w/e.  Decided to do a little more uninstalling from the rear end.
took out the traction/toe arms.  thennn I kept at it.....
Diff was still stuck in the driveshaft
Gave it a good shake and it dropped to the floor like a 500 lb baby.

now to go source a dolly so that I can pull this shit out from under my car.  I've realized now that reinstalling this is gonna be a huge pain.

broke one of my newly acquired tools trying to break loose the 9th of the 12 10mm bolts that hold the diff and axles together.
(for anyone trying to drop the diff out, you need a 19mm socket for the front 2 bolts, a 10mm hex for the 12 diff-axle bolts, and 12mm hex for the 3 bolts in the rear. breaker bar is for fucking sure a necessity. or an impact gun for those who are less financially deprived.  the last 10mm hex bolt required me to put the tool into the bolt, let the ratchet handle touch the frame, crawl out from under the car, release the e-brake, and give one of my rear wheels a powerful turn to break it loose. I even went as far as contemplating to turn the engine on and throw it into reverse to break it loose.  thank god this less-extreme method worked out.)

plans:
change out suspension bushings
change out subframe bushings
switch out diff for a welded
shave the rear fenders a bit more (previous owner seemed to have half-assed it and left a good amount.  not enough for a legit roll though)

2 midterms and 1 paper next week, so wtf am I doing working on this shitbox.  idk.

Decided to secure my license plate semi-properly (not really).  During a quick drive to the bank in my sc, a 90's accord w/ a couple in their 40's/50's (what's the difference) pulled up next to me and the driver yelled at me informing me that my plate is falling off.  I've been missing a screw for well over a year now (reason why my plate always looks crooked) and have gotten many concerned statements from friends and even some of their parents.  so, decided to take 3 more minutes out of my studying to secure it.  grabbed a bolt, washer, winged nut, gorilla glue, duct tape, and was done.

sc's back up and running, probably better than before now that I have no exhaust leak ticking/rattling that had been going on for a few weeks before the weld finally gave up.

Also got a new HID kit from Meng Motorsports for my tC since my driverside keeps going out even after I switched the bulbs.

and it's made by Philips.  too fuckin legit.
2 midterms and a paper to go, all on tuesday, before I can get to enjoying these and my sc.
