Was going to spend this winter break completing my lip kit, but from the looks of this storm, i don't see it happening anytime soon.
So, to pass the time I spend indoors, I re-started a project I had left unfinished a couple years ago.  I finished up my Tamiya TA05 r/c car.  Now, I can't find my battery anywhere... booooo

Working on this re-sparked my interest in these little fake vehicles, and I've already ordered a new kit, a TA05 ver. 2, an updated version of this older car with a few changes made to it.  I've decided to spend a little more this time around, with a brushless motor system, a digital servo, and a 2.4ghz transmitter/receiver.  should be good times. oh and i re-did my center console.

Finally decided I'd put the bride material that I bought at industry day to use.

No, I'm not done yet.

Only a few (ton) more things before I can make it happen.
fiberglass the other side skirt
paint the other side skirt
re-paint the front lip
fiberglass rear and make it fit the exhaust.
paint the rear after previous is done.
repaint the wise spoiler (not pictured)
when all that was said is done, I'll be quite the happy camper..

Idk how i feel about the side skirt's flare, but w/e.  we'll see...

Got to work with the 5zigens.  Rolled (read: hammered) my front fenders relatively flat and slapped the wheels on after work on Friday.  Worked on it for about 30 min before I was relatively satisfied, and then rolled on into a lexus meet at longo.

Definitely gonna have to add in the 3mm to the rears and lower the fronts for sure.
In other less disappointing news, my friend over at Meng Motorsports hooked me up once again, with a blox HELLAweighted shift knob. bye-bye bubble (dildo) knob and the 2 mile-long shifts.

Didnt know blox made it in toyota's thread pattern til recently, so happy I got it.  It's actually heavier than my greddy counterweight that I have on my tC (440grams vs. 376grams, or in america 0.97lbs vs. 0.83lbs),  shifts are so much smoother.  Price does seem to reflect this difference, but shoot, I'm happy.
Thanks Tony!

Since my 2nd final ended tuesday morning and my 3rd starts thursday evening, I decided I'll do some car stuff as a sort of stress reliever.
Replaced my front tC endlinks w/ aftermarket ones that had come w/ my coils that I got about 2 yrs ago.  Made them about 1.5-2" shorter than stock to correct the sway bar angle that had been pointing down since my F&F coils are quite a bit shorter than stock.

Then FINALLY got tires on the 5zigens that'll be going up front. sumi htrz III 225/40/18 on 18x9.5 +12.  Also picked up 3mm spacers for my rears in my attempt to match wheel fitment, though the fronts will still be more aggressive by 0.65mm... grrr....

Took me a good 3 min to set that up.
I should be trying to roll my fronts to fit the fronts sometime by friday, let's hope.

Went to industry day on sunday, picked up a few goodies

Also got the box of ENEOS gear oil in the last pic, total came out to $85, not too bad, wish i had gone equipped with a clearer cc balance. Saw this gem, super saloon goodness and fell in love

Picked these up from aspec on my way home wednesday for $10 each.
